High Plains Chautauqua (HPC) will be held August 5-9 at the Aims Community College campus and other venues in Greeley, Colorado. HPC is continuing its three-year series on “American Identity,” bringing to the Chautauqua tent historic characters that demonstrate uniquely American traits. The theme for the 2008 event, “The American Spirit: Practical Dreamers,” will feature nineteenth century Americans who created the American dream – and some American myths.
In addition to Young Chautauqua performances by Greeley students all day Wednesday, three students will present their character portrayals during the final evening program.
