Applying for a Packaged Program
Packaged Program Application Information, Procedure, and Form
Free and open to the public, a packaged program is a resource offered by Colorado Humanities to libraries, schools, museums, or other.organizations to make humanities-based programs more possible. A Packaged Program is not a grant. It is a family of pre-approved, Colorado Humanities programs for which funds have already been set aside. Common programs include:
- Chautauqua (see list of speakers)
- Authors in the Classroom (details specific to "Authors" program)
Packaged Programs provide presenters, facilitators, authors, and other resources already identified and approved by Colorado Humanities. The expenses and funding amounts vary by program format and subject.
Start planning your program by reviewing the Packaged Program topics on the Colorado Humanities website (www.ceh.org).
Decide whether you would like to request one or multiple programs to form a series and determine program dates. Then call Colorado Humanities staff to tell us of your program selection. We will provide contact information of presenters or facilitators. Sponsors are expected to contact the presenter(s) to make program arrangements.
For Authors in the Classroom programs, Sponsors must contact the author, illustrator, or poet, and make arrangements (date, time, place) for the visit before submitting an application to Colorado Humanities.
Allow at least eight weeks between the date you apply and the date of your first program.
