An Affair of the Heart: Franklin Roosevelt and the Women in his Life

An Affair of the Heart, a dramatic presentation, will reveal the close relationships that Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 32nd president of the United States, had with several women.  This historically accurate program, using letters and personal documents, will examine the complex and intertwined relationship between Franklin Roosevelt and Eleanor, his wife; Lucy Mercer Rutherford, initially a social secretary to Eleanor; and Margaret Daisy Suckley, a close companion and correspondent .  Richard Marold, an historian and journalist, will portray Roosevelt.  The voices of the women in Roosevelt's life will be portrayed by Mary Jane Bradbury, an actress and presenter at Four Mile Historic Park in Denver.
