Free Facilitator Trainings prepare people to plan and facilitate conversations about vital issues and questions across different beliefs and backgrounds. Coloradans who complete the training will be certified to facilitate community conversations with our organization throughout the state and be paid for those services. Applications for the upcoming trainings in Greeley and Denver in April are due March 27.

“Crossroads: Change in Rural America,” a Smithsonian Institution traveling exhibition drawing on the history and culture of rural America to provoke fresh thinking and spark conversations about the future and sustainability of rural communities, is now open in Yampa at the Yampa-Egeria Historical Museum through April 20th.

Economic Restoration Speakers Bureau Presentation

Join us on March 14th for an enlightening presentation by John Giordanengo, a national speaker and Colorado author. This talk will focus on bridging the gap between the inherent value of our environment and economic development in Manitou Springs.

Five States of Colorado Upcoming Screenings

Free screenings of The Five States of Colorado continue with the next one taking place in Ouray at The Wright Opera House on May 17. Following the screening, Colorado Humanities offers either a Q&A session with an expert from the film or a community conversation with a trained facilitator to encourage dialogue and reflection on the diverse cultural and geographical tapestry of Colorado.

Colorado Book Awards – Save the Date!

We are excited to announce that the 2024 Finalists Celebration and Winners Announcement will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 at the Tivoli Turnhalle theater at Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Auraria campus. $30 Tickets will be available for purchase starting May 6 in our store or by phone.
